Senior Detail Designer

Position: Senior Detail Designer (Contract)
Our client, a leading player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Detail Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on outfit and structures within the maritime naval ships discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Developing and detailing design solutions for outfit and structural components of naval ships
Translating concept designs into detailed technical specifications
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
Producing detailed drawings and schematics in accordance with industry standards and project requirements
Liaising with manufacturing and production teams to ensure feasibility and compliance of designs
Providing technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers
Ensuring all design work complies with safety and regulatory standards
Reviewing and updating designs based on project feedback and requirements

Job Requirements:

Experience in electronics design engineering, specifically within the defence sector
Proficiency in CAD software and design tools - you must have experience with Foran for this role
Strong understanding of outfit and structural design principles for naval ships
Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience
