The Opportunity

Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is proud to be working with a global engineering, construction and consulting firm, to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their UK Transmission & Distribution team.

This is a senior technical role offering the opportunity to lead civil engineering design on major power infrastructure projects, working with key UK clients including National Grid and DNOs (Distribution Network Operator).

• Lead civil engineering design from concept through to detailed design and construction support
• Deliver high-quality civil and structural designs within the power Transmission & Distribution sector
• Prepare technical specifications, reports, calculations and construction documentation
• Review vendor and contractor designs to ensure compliance with project and industry standards
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling and change management
• Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, QA/QC procedures and safety standards

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
• 7+ years’ experience in civil / structural engineering design
• Strong experience within power Transmission & Distribution projects
• Knowledge of UK client standards (e.g. National Grid, SSEN, SPEN)
• Experience with CDM 2015 and Temporary Works
• Proficient in CAD/BIM and structural analysis software
• Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
