The ideal vehicle mechanic engineer will have the below skills and experiences:

• Good electromechanical, mechanical engineering experience and ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams
• Engineering qualifications- mechanical, electromechanical or similar eg NVQ level 3, C&G, HNC, HND etc Apprenticeship trained
• Good service engineering, maintenance engineering, repair engineering experience of engine run vehicles, large vehicles, plant equipment or FLT, HGV’s, access platforms or similar vehicles, automotive, vehicle mechanics
• Full UK driving licence (80% workshop site based role with occasional site visits)

Desirable:

• Repair experience of plant machinery or lifting equipment, lift trucks, access platforms, petrol run heavy vehicles, tanks, heavy lifting equipment, full training will be provided on construction plant equipment.
