The Operated Assets Service Line is an exciting and expanding area of our business, providing critical operations services to the energy sector – including duty holder, managed service, late life, Decom and TAR delivery.

The position will be dedicated to our SAGE Duty Holder contract based at St Fergus Aberdeenshire. It requires a minimum of 3 days per week on site and two days off‑site, either home‑based or within our Head Office in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Site Manager with functional oversight to Project Controls.

We can offer a permanent staff contract for this role but may also be able to consider a PSC contract.

Role Overview

The Asset Planner is an integral part of the Asset team and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all asset work aligns with the asset integrity and production objectives.

The Asset Planner is the custodian of the Planning Gate Entry Process, ensuring all work scopes meet readiness criteria before entering the integrated plan and prior to execution. Working closely with the site construction team and operations, the role maintains a single, integrated plan spanning construction, maintenance, shutdown/turnaround, brownfield projects, and contractor activities. The role ensures safe, efficient delivery through disciplined planning, rigorous readiness checks, and proactive coordination of resources, materials, permits, and SIMOPS.

  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Delivery, Asset Support, Engineering and Planning departments to ensure that the asset work plan (90‑day and 28‑day) preparation is compliant with the company Integrated Activity Planning (IAP) process and Maintenance and Scheduling Processes.
  • Create and maintain the Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) from 28 Day to 2 Year windows, integrating work scopes from Operations and Maintenance, Major Projects, Interventions, Fabric Maintenance/Integrity and any 3rd‑party contractors in line with asset priorities and strategies.
  • Assist asset management and support engineers with all planning matters and develop individual project plans as required.
  • Coordinate and manage the activities of the asset production and maintenance departments. Key tasks include: undertaking work order scheduling, ensuring efficient scheduling and close‑out of work orders, monitoring backlog, chairing daily and weekly scheduling meetings, conducting quality control checks of Maximo notifications and work orders, supporting asset turnaround scheduling, and ensuring timely scheduling of all critical work orders.
  • Create and maintain the Asset Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) from 28 Day to 2 Year windows, ensuring strategic, 6 Q, 90 Day and 28 Day versions are produced.
  • Develop and maintain the Personnel on Site (POS) forecast at strategic, 6 Q, 90 Day and 28 Day time frames.
