About the job

As an Instrument & Process Control Technician at OSCABE you will play a vital role in maintaining and optimizing our production processes. Your expertise in instrumentation and control systems will ensure that our operations run efficiently and safely. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. You will report to and work closely with the Calibrations and Controls Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair process control systems and instruments
  • Calibrate and validate measurement and control equipment
  • Document maintenance activities and update equipment performance records
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance plans
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to upgrade and optimize control systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations
Qualifications
  • Completed degree in Electrical Instrumentation, Process Control or a related field (HND minimum requirement)
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a continuous manufacturing process environment
  • Strong understanding of process control systems, instrumentation and automation equipment
  • Experience with PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems and other control technologies
  • Experience with process control project management
  • Experience in control system design and software engineering
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly
  • Willingness to work in shifts as required
