Senior Civil & Structural Engineer; Energy

Responsibilities

• Work on onshore wind, PV and BESS projects throughout the EIA design and construction phases.
• Serve as Owner’s Engineer / Technical Advisor on many renewable projects in the UK.
• Perform design review and site supervision duties, carrying out construction phase inspections, including foundation pre‑pour inspections and post‑pour inspections.
• Assist with project administration tasks such as client meetings, progress reporting and technical queries.
• Review BoP contractor’s civil infrastructure designs (tracks, hardstands, foundations, control buildings, etc.).
• Contribute to H&S management, including review of RAMS and other construction documents such as Construction Environmental Management Plans or Traffic Management Plans.
• Manage construction project quality assurance and document control across multiple projects.
• Support Project Managers on contract payments and variations.
• Work with team members to develop 2D / 3D wind farm layouts using Infra Works and AutoCAD.
• Assist with internal project management tasks such as forecasting, invoicing and resourcing.
• Develop proposals and bids for onshore wind projects and contribute to multi‑disciplinary proposals.

• Civil Engineering qualification.
• Chartered or working towards chartered status with the ICE.
• Experience of design and construction in renewable projects.
• Basic understanding of GIS, Infra Works and AutoCAD software.
• Combined site experience with knowledge of CDM Regulations, health and safety, general on‑site civil construction experience and reinforcement detailing and checking.
• SMSTS or NEC4 Supervision accreditation preferred but not required (training will be given).
• Willing to travel all over the UK, potentially for continuous extended periods while undertaking site supervision duties.
• Ability to travel across the UK.
