Overview
This role involves overseeing the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of rotating equipment within the energy & natural resources industry. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring operational reliability and efficiency in a permanent position based in Paisley.
Client DetailsThe employer is a medium‑sized organisation operating within the energy & natural resources sector. They are known for their focus on engineering excellence and their commitment to high‑quality service delivery across their projects.
Description- Review of tender specifications
- Creating and checking of tender documentation including drawings, specifications, parts lists, and technical descriptions.
- Technical coordination of vendors for sub‑contractor parts/services.
- Project planning and technical support of commercial discussions with customers and suppliers.
- Provide technical support during rotating equipment and gas turbine overhaul
- Secondment to site
- Preparing installation procedures, method statements and risk assessments
- Develop models, drawings and specifications for a wide range of rotating equipment and gas turbine component parts and assemblies.
- Respond to both internal and external technical enquiries.
- Review and action production concession requests and non‑conformance reports.
- Respond to repair process and development issues.
- Conduct RCAs in conjunction with field and customer representatives.
- Site surveys as required.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience working with rotating equipment within the energy & natural resources industry.
- Ideally knowledge of industrial gas turbines.
- Strong technical knowledge of maintenance and repair processes.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
- Competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum.
