The Opportunity As a Cost Management Specialist, you will play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of complex infrastructure programmes. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to provide robust cost control, forecasting, contract administration, and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, contractors, and key stakeholders. Administer contracts in line with project objectives and governance requirements. Monitor, forecast, and report project costs accurately through to completion. Manage cost variances, cash flow, valuations, and applications for payment. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project objectives, KPIs, and performance targets. Manage contract changes and ensure appropriate governance and commercial controls are maintained.
Drive improvements in forecasting accuracy, budget management, and commercial performance. Provide commercial advice and support to project stakeholders. Negotiate and agree final accounts. Lead project commissions and support the development of team members where appropriate. Requirements Candidates with experience in some or all of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
Cost Management Contract Management (ideally NEC3/NEC4, particularly Options A, C, and
E) Change Control & Change Management Valuation & Final Accounts Risk Management Procurement Estimating & Pricing Cost Reporting & Forecasting Value Engineering & Value Management Commission Management People Leadership & Team Development Skills & Experience Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Collaborative, solutions-focused approach. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of infrastructure delivery. Knowledge of construction procurement routes and commercial best practice.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is desirable. Membership of, or progress towards, a relevant professional body (RICS, ICES, CICES, etc.) is advantageous.
