Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview

A large Utilities contractor are currently recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join the team in Glasgow.

With a large presence overseas, they have now secured long term work secured within the Infrastructure, Energy and Civils sectors. This is a great time to join the team as they build a strong commercial team for the coming years. They have Substation, OHL, BESS and Civils related work across Scotland and into England.

• Assist the Commercial Lead in the UK with the commercial management of current projects and commercial support for future work streams, with involvement in pre-construction and post-construction activities.
• Assist in managing work packages and contribute to contract management and commercial decision making.
• Work across Substation, OHL, BESS and Civils related work in Scotland and England as part of the commercial team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build a strong commercial capability within the Scottish operation.

• Couple years post-qualified experience, ideally within Infrastructure.
• Experience in managing work packages and a good grasp of contract management.
• Strong appetite to learn, progress and develop.
• Interest in moving into the Power/Energy space.

Packages range from £32k-48k DOE, plus car, healthcare, pension and various other benefits.
