OXBO is partnered with a fast‑growing Renewable Energy IPP looking to hire a Renewable Energy Consultant for their collaborative and social Glasgow team.

Role

As a Renewable Energy Consultant you will assist in the delivery of utility‑scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from pre‑construction through to handover to O&M.

  • Support the overall delivery of multiple utility‑scale Solar and BESS construction projects.
  • Assist in managing all aspects of projects, including construction, health & safety, and quality standards across sites.
  • Support and manage grid‑agreement interfaces, general engineering activities, procurement and contract administration.
  • Proactively identify construction risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to protect programme and cost.
  • Monitor and report deviations to scope, schedule, or budget, providing clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Undertake development and O&M works to gain all‑round knowledge of project life cycles.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within the renewable energy industry, in development and delivery phases.
  • Experience in Solar PV, battery storage (BESS), or onshore wind projects (other transferrable skills considered).
  • Experience in contract preparation, negotiation and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Ireland construction, CDM, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Understanding of grid operators and connection processes.
  • Confident communicator with stakeholder and contractor management skills.
  • Ability to manage several project tasks concurrently and plan and prioritise.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required.
