Sales Engineer

Job Overview

A Taunton based manufacturer of electronics components is now looking for a Sales Engineer.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will support customers with their product and service choices.

Within the role you will be working closely with a diverse range of customers across the UK, focusing on providing both technical support and commercial information, pricing and related services.

On a daily basis you will be talking with Engineers, Scientists, Researchers and Managers via phone and email, with occasional visits to customer sites.

Your role will be to understand customer requirements, suggest the best solutions and provide availability and pricing.

• Experience in a technical sales role within an engineering, technical or manufacturing environment is essential.
• Ideally you have studied a degree in Engineering, Science or Electronics and have experience working with customers.
• Strong technical and communication skills, highly organised and focused on providing excellent customer support.
• Product training will be provided; an understanding of manufacturing, engineering, science or electronics is required.

• Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested for verification. Sponsorship is not available.
• Candidates should have a full clean driving licence for occasional travel to customer sites, suppliers and trade shows.

Salary depends on experience, in the region of £30‑40k plus benefits.
