Mott Mac Donald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business combining the design expertise of Mott Mac Donald with the contracting experience of JN Bentley, operating across water, energy and environment sectors throughout the UK. Mott Mac Donald Bentley is a key Asset Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, part of their SR27 investment programme. The Enterprise is set to deliver £9bn of major infrastructure investment between 2027 and 2033, enhancing Scotland’s water and wastewater assets.

It will help preserve the nation’s world‑class water quality, protect the environment and ensure services continue to meet the needs of customer. As part of our appointment to Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, we will deliver projects at sites across Scotland. Works will include major upgrades to treatment assets, new and enhanced networks, and resilience schemes that will benefit communities across the country.

• Enhancing resilience and service reliabilitythrough treatment works upgrades, network improvements and resilience schemes
• Supporting net zero and climate adaptationvia low carbon design, nature based solutions and environmental compliance projects
• Enabling sustainable growthby delivering infrastructure that supports new development and protects existing communities
• Driving efficiency and affordabilitythrough integrated delivery, innovation and collaborative planning
• Maintaining a strong focus on customers, communities and safetyacross everything we do

• Develop detailed construction programmes using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
• Monitor progress against baseline schedules and update regularly
• Identify risks, delays, and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with operational, design and commercial staff and subcontractors to align programmes with site and design progress
• Produce progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts for senior management and clients
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project milestones
• Support tender planning and bid submissions with realistic programme schedules
• Maintain accurate records of programme changes and justifications
• Involvement with collaborative planning

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
• Experience in large-scale projects within the water sector
• Proven experience in programme planning within construction or infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or other standard forms of contract
• Competency in the use of Primavera P6 and an interest in 4D planning
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, methodologies, and industry standards
• Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region

• Professional membership (e.g., APM, CIOB, ICE) is advantageous
• Experience of working in an Enterprise/Alliance arrangement is advantageous
