Amentum is the Design and Engineering partner for Sellafield under the PPP (Programme and Project Partners). This is a 20‑year arrangement to deliver ~£7bn of major projects. We are looking to recruit high‑value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site‑wide improvements, and provision of supporting services.
We are now looking to recruit a Senior EC&I Engineer to support the team in our Cumbria office.
Responsibilities- This role will involve developing and delivering CE&I design solutions in response to problem definitions and Project Functional Specifications from the client.
- Working within the current CE&I design team to deliver CE&I design against the schedule and support meeting key delivery milestones.
- Support plant configuration walk‑downs to confirm and accurately record task baseline details, or the production of outline design schemes.
- Attend design reviews to support the RE in the presentation of design documentation.
- Proven EC&I design, capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings, and supporting calculations.
- Knowledge and experience of producing both Instrumentation and Electrical designs.
- Understanding of the roles and application of the CDM regulations.
- Previous experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risk assessments, etc.
- Production of Design Drawings in AutoCAD.
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with several years of design delivery experience OR other qualification such as BTEC, HNC, HND, with extensive design delivery experience.
