Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Expert

Location: Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of plant, equipment, and building services.

• Identify and manage risks associated with equipment on site, including updating drawings, identifying critical spares, and improving equipment performance.
• Conduct fault-finding on all types of machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Provide electrical and mechanical expertise to the maintenance department, working on heavy industrial machines and overhead cranes.
• Write and follow risk assessments and method statements, ensuring a safe and accurate working environment.
• Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete works from the CAFM maintenance system.
• Liaise with onsite site services to manage building services-related issues.
• Deputise for the shift leader during annual leave or sickness.
• Work overtime as required, including nights and weekends.

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Strong proven experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Electrical competences to a minimum of City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualifications to 17th Edition.
• Mechanical competences to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical.
• Good multi-skilled ability, with experience working on 3-phase motors, drives, and inverters.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
• Ability to fault-find and diagnose PLC systems.
• NVQ qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical.
• Ability to supervise contractors and write risk and method statements.

• Working at height qualification.
• IPAF certification.
• AP qualifications.
• Experience of heavy engineering.
