ScheduleFull time
Responsibilities- Assembly and test of production products, including optic/laser alignment, fault diagnosis; result monitoring and analysis.
- Final optical assembly of advanced laser products.
- Optical alignment and test of advanced laser products.
- Laser set up using sophisticated optical techniques.
- Laser calibration using electronic control.
- Improve laser build documentation.
- Degree or equivalent in a laser science or related subject or equivalent knowledge gained through working in laser production environment.
- Experience of aligning and testing opto‑electronic/laser equipment.
- Strong innovation, analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge and experience of quality control/process improvement methods.
- Excellent communication skills, in particular verbal skills to keep team up to date with progress.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Demonstrated problem solving and work prioritisation skills.
- Ability to keep up to date with technology and apply to business strategic plan.
- Ability to achieve results independently or working with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with end‑users, management, and staff.

Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.

Quality & Environmental ResponsibilitiesDepending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
