We are currently recruiting for experienced Commercial Manager
s to support a major engineering and infrastructure programme within a highly regulated environment. These positions offer the opportunity to work on large-scale, technically complex projects while playing a key role in commercial delivery, contract management, and cost control.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual performance of allocated projects or work packages. Working closely with project teams, you will ensure effective cost management, risk mitigation, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the commercial delivery of projects and work packages from inception through to completion
- Administer contracts, compensation events, variations, and change management processes
- Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
- Support procurement, subcontract management, and supplier negotiations
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements
- Work collaboratively with project managers, planners, and technical teams to achieve project objectives
- Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities where required
- Experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or similar commercial role
- Strong understanding of cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting
- Experience with in infrastructure, engineering, defence, nuclear, energy, or complex construction sectors
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts (other contract experience also beneficial)
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work effectively within regulated and high‑security environments
- Must be a UK Sole National
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline
- Membership of RICS, ICES, CICES, or other relevant professional body
- Previous experience on major infrastructure, defence, nuclear, or energy projects would be advantageous
