Site Engineer; Civil

Overview

A civil site engineer is needed by a highly successful, medium-sized civil engineering contractor.

Location:

Glasgow & Central Belt (within 1 hour of Glasgow). Salary: £45-60,000 + package + company vehicle.

A well-established civil engineering contractor based in the West of Scotland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt. This is a stable and expanding business with a strong and sustained workload secured within a one-hour radius of Glasgow.

• Setting out and surveying works in line with technical drawings and specifications
• Liaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineers
• Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety standards
• Interpreting and reviewing technical drawings, identifying any issues
• Maintaining accurate QA documentation and as-built records
• Supporting planning and programme delivery on site
• Assisting site and project management teams with daily operations

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering
• Strong setting-out capability using GPS / Total Station equipment
• Experience with in infrastructure, groundworks, or general civils projects
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Good knowledge of health & safety regulations
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Full UK driving licence
