BMS Commissioning Engineer

Rate: £500 per day (Limited Outside IR35)

18 Months

We are currently recruiting for two experienced BMS Commissioning Engineers to join a major project in Glasgow on a long‑term 18-month contract.

The successful candidates will have proven experience commissioning Trend Controls and/or Niagara-based Building Management Systems and will be responsible for the testing, commissioning and handover of BMS installations.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning Trend and Niagara/Distech BMS systems
Point‑to‑point and I/O testing
Functional testing and validation of control strategies
Fault finding and resolution of BMS and HVAC issues
BACnet and Modbus integration and testing
Configuration of alarms, trends, graphics and schedules
Witness testing and client demonstrations
Production of commissioning documentation and handover packs

Requirements

Previous BMS commissioning experience
Experience with Trend Controls and/or Niagara platforms
Strong HVAC and building services knowledge
Understanding of BACnet, Modbus and IP networking
Excellent fault‑finding skills
Full UK Driving Licence
