We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Glasgow or Edinburgh
. Working alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to projects from concept through to construction, developing your technical expertise while working on infrastructure that has a lasting impact on communities and the environment. THE ROLE
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll support the delivery of electrical and EICA designs across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with electrical and EICA design from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.
- Producing electrical calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams and Network Infrastructure Diagrams.
- Supporting the development of technical specifications, control philosophies and equipment schedules.
- Working collaboratively with project managers, clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participating in design reviews, technical workshops and site visits.
- Continuing to develop your technical knowledge through mentoring and structured career development.
The work you deliver will support the development of sustainable infrastructure that improves water quality, protects the environment and provides reliable services for communities across Scotland and the wider UK. ABOUT YOUEssential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in electrical engineering design within water, infrastructure, utilities or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design standards.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.
- A proactive approach to learning and professional development.
- Working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status.
- Experience with EICA design and documentation.
- Knowledge of DSEAR requirements.
- Experience with in the UK water sector.
