AboutThe Role
Amentum is seeking a Technical Director – Ports and Maritime Engineering to join our UK team, supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure within the Defence sector. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model, combining office-based, remote, and occasional UK site work.
You will play a key role in providing strategic and technical leadership for our Ports and Maritime capability, supporting the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary engineering solutions across civil, structural, geotechnical, seismic, and maritime disciplines.
As a senior member of the team, you will help shape technical direction and contribute to the development of engineering strategy, working closely with colleagues across the business. You will also support the continued growth and positioning of the capability across the UK and wider organisation, fostering collaboration and sharing expertise to deliver high-quality outcomes.
You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships and helping to inform decision-making at senior levels to support the successful delivery of major programmes.
You'll work with and support teams to deliver high-quality outcomes, helping to foster technical excellence, innovation, and the sharing of best practice. You will also mentor engineers and emerging leaders, supporting their development and helping to build capability across the team.
