Viridor is at the forefront of waste management and resource recovery in the UK, operating the largest network of Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs). We play a crucial role in supporting the UK’s climate goals by diverting waste from landfills and transforming it into valuable energy resources.

We have an opportunity in Glasgow for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The salary for this role will be competitive, and participation in an annual bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the mechanical engineering and maintenance at the Energy Recovery Facility, in co‑operation with the Electrical and C&I engineers.

The Mechanical Engineer will ensure optimal long‑term availability of the plant, to preserve the value of the assets and to meet set health and safety, environmental and financial targets.

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities associated with the ERF, including the stores and workshops management.
