The Vacancy

Richard Allitt Associates
, part of RSK Group, have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join their team based in Crawley, Warrington, Birmingham, Derby, Glasgow or Edinburgh
. This is a full-time, permanent position.

This is a permanent position for an experienced Hydraulic Modeller with UK experience of modelling with Info Works ICM and a proven background in hydraulic modelling. The successful candidate will be at or near Chartered Status and will have an eagerness to become involved in and at the leading edge of integrated hydraulic modelling of sewers and urban watercourses to identify and assess the urban flood risk.

Role

Responsibilities
  • Hydraulic modelling using the Info Works ICM and Info Asset Manager.
  • Leading a small team of Modellers working on Integrated Urban Drainage projects;
  • Assisting with the Financial and Technical management of projects;
  • Liaising with Clients, Statutory Authorities and Stakeholders;
  • Assisting with the development of new techniques and skills;
  • Preparing reports etc and checking of work done by others;
  • Other duties as required to meet the project workload.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven UK experience of using Info Works ICM
  • Highly proficient computer & technical skills;
  • Ability to effectively manage workload;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and to work as a team leader.

From offices spread throughout the UK, we have been providing integrated flood risk consultancy services, including hydraulic modelling, urban flood forecasting, catchment planning, hydrology, surface water and drainage assessments and flood risk management. Clients include Scottish Water, Anglian Water, Wessex Water, Severn Trent, Southern Water, the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and Network Rail.
