Associate Mechanical Engineer

An established building services consultancy is seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to play a key leadership role within its Glasgow office. This position offers the opportunity to lead projects, manage and develop teams, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring delivery of high-quality engineering solutions Lead and manage multiple mechanical building services projects from inception through to completion Oversee project delivery to agreed time frames, budgets, and quality standards Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to their technical and professional development Allocate resources effectively across projects and manage team workload Collaborate closely with internal teams and external consultants Ensure compliance with quality systems, industry standards, and relevant legislation Contribute to business development by building and maintaining strong client relationships Assist in securing new work and maintaining a strong reputation for project delivery Undertake project reporting, including fee forecasting and resource planning Requirements:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) Chartered Engineer status preferred (or working towards / equivalent experience considered) Proven experience within a building services consultancy environment Strong technical knowledge across mechanical building services design Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams Excellent communication and client-facing skills Key Skills & Attributes:
