Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with the appointment of a Senior Environmental Consultant to join their growing environmental team in Scotland.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced environmental professional looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of exciting projects across sectors including energy, water, defence, transport and public realm.
The Role- Support the coordination and delivery of environmental projects across multidisciplinary teams.
- Assist with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), consenting projects and environmental management.
- Contribute to options appraisals and the delivery of environmental assessments.
- Collate, analyse and edit information from a range of technical sources to produce high-quality reports.
- Manage your own workload, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, on time and within budget.
- Support senior colleagues with bid preparation and project management.
- Work closely with environmental, engineering and other technical specialists.
- Develop your experience across a diverse range of projects and sectors.
- Have opportunities to work across the wider UK and Ireland, with potential international opportunities.
- A degree or Master's qualification in an environmental or relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience working on EIA and consenting projects.
- A good understanding of the EIA process and environmental technical disciplines.
- Chartered status or be working towards chartership with a relevant professional body such as IEMA or IES.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure. Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to communicate ideas and technical information effectively.
- A flexible and adaptable approach, with enthusiasm for taking on new challenges.
- A genuine interest in delivering sustainable environmental outcomes.
