Are you a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant looking for greater technical ownership and exposure to complex projects? This Glasgow opportunity combines hydraulic modelling, hydrology, technical assurance and client responsibility across major UK and international schemes.

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant to join its established water team. You will provide technical leadership across flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling while remaining closely involved in project delivery.

• Lead flood risk, hydrology and hydraulic modelling work
• Review complex hydraulic models and Flood Risk Assessments
• Provide technical advice across infrastructure and development projects
• Support climate adaptation and water environment assessments
• Manage project delivery and client relationships
• Work with multidisciplinary design and environmental teams
• Mentor junior and mid-level consultants and modellers
• Support proposals, work winning and development of the technical service

• Strong consultancy experience in flood risk and hydrology
• Chartered professional status or working towards Chartership
• Advanced hydraulic modelling and technical review capability
• Experience delivering complex Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies
• Strong client-facing and project management skills
• Experience mentoring and developing technical staff

This Principal Flood Risk & Hydrology Consultant role offers the chance to remain technically focused while taking greater responsibility for projects, clients and people. The salary is £60,000 – £70,000, alongside flexible working, strong benefits and clear progression.
