The RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and technically capable individual who can demonstrate the following skills and abilities while supporting customers and colleagues throughout the UK.The ideal candidate will have experience of door and window fabrication, to fully understand the technical issues from both hardware and profile perspectives.
Customer Support- Provide expert technical support to customers.
- Identify and recommend appropriate product solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Assist customers in the preparation of test samples for indicative and BSI testing.
- Troubleshoot technical issues at customer premises and end-user locations.
- Investigate and report quality concerns, providing on-site support and practical corrective solutions where required.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the first point of contact for technical enquiries.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service while promoting confidence in our products and solutions.
- Provide technical expertise to support the sales team.
- Deliver product demonstrations to customers and distribution partners.
- Prepare, maintain, and update product application lists.
- Conduct customer visits alongside the sales team and distributor sales representatives.
- Support business development activities through technical consultation and product knowledge.
- Assist with the introduction and promotion of new products and solutions.
- Work closely with customers and the design team to develop bespoke product solutions.
- Source test windows and doors from fabricators and systems companies for prototype and trial installations.
- Prepare and fit sample windows and doors for performance and security testing, including PAS 24 testing.
- Conduct in-house product testing and support testing at approved external facilities to PAS 24 and other relevant standards.
- Liaise with accredited test facilities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, testing procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with systems companies to obtain the latest profile information for new and updated systems.
- Support the development, evaluation, and validation of prototypes and new products.
- Experience with in the window and door industry.
- Strong knowledge of PVCu, aluminium, and timber window and door systems.
- Practical experience of fabrication and installation processes.
- Good understanding of window and door hardware applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Strong communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK.
- Experience of PAS 24 testing and relevant industry standards.
- Knowledge of BSI testing and certification processes.
- Experience working with fabricators, systems companies, and hardware manufacturers.
