You’re a Senior Structural Technician who wants to lead delivery and have a clearer influence on how technical work is produced. At Stantec, you’ll join our Civil & Structural Engineering team in Glasgow or Edinburgh, working across a diverse portfolio of projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This is an opportunity to take ownership of outputs, support team development, and play a visible role in how projects are delivered.
ABOUTTHE ROLE
You will take a leading role in the production and coordination of structural models, drawings, and schedules across a range of projects, ensuring outputs are accurate, coordinated, and delivered to programme. You’ll work closely with engineers and other disciplines to maintain consistency across designs and support the integration of technical information throughout the project lifecycle.
You’ll collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, supporting document control and ensuring effective communication across all stages of delivery. You’ll also contribute to site-related activities, including inspections, surveys, and reporting, helping to ensure designs are practical and aligned with construction requirements.
Alongside technical delivery, you’ll support and guide the technician team—allocating work, mentoring colleagues, and contributing to capability development. You’ll also play a role in improving processes, working with others to enhance workflows, share knowledge, and raise technical standards.
YOUR IMPACTYou’ll influence how projects are delivered at a technical level, ensuring that models and drawings are clear, coordinated, and aligned with design intent. Your work will directly support the delivery of projects that are efficient, buildable, and consistent in quality.
Internally, your impact will be seen in the development of others and the strength of delivery processes. By supporting technicians and contributing to continuous improvement, you’ll help build a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
