We are looking to recruit a n Engineering Manager to join the Technical team. This role typically reports to the Technical Director.
The purpose of the role is to provide engineering design and technical support for the region and manage all external consultants of the Technical team in the production of drawings for the design of site developments whilst working to an internal brief from the Management Team.
What you'll do a an Engineering Manager- Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers, Setting Out Engineers, Adoptions Engineers and Trainee Engineers, providing mentoring, training and professional development.
- Manage projects from site identification or planning approval through to site commencement, procuring technical packages and coordinating the timely delivery of design information.
- Oversee site evaluations and provide cost-effective, technically viable solutions to ensure projects remain on programme and within budget.
- Coordinate consultants and technical teams to deliver high-quality information and services that support Construction, Sales and Business Development objectives.
- Plan, review and issue technical and production information in line with agreed programmes, company standards and project milestones.
- Maintain high standards of quality, design and technical compliance across all schemes, protecting and enhancing the company's reputation.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies and promote a strong safety culture throughout the team.
- Allocate, monitor and review team workloads, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with company procedures.
- Exceptional communication, organisation and time management skills
- A civils design, infrastructure, groundworks or possibly more general construction background
