MARINE PACKAGE MANAGER

Offshore Wind | Contract | Up to £900/day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)

Foundations don't get built twice. Cables don't get laid twice. When a marine installation package goes right, it's because one person held the whole picture together; the engineering, the contracts, the safety, the sequencing. If that person is you, we want to talk.

We're recruiting on behalf of a major offshore wind developer for a Marine Package Manager to take ownership of the Marine Installation Package (MIP) on a large-scale offshore wind farm - covering WTG foundations, OTM foundations and inter-array cables, from design through to manufacture, installation, commissioning and handover.

This is a package leadership role, not a support seat. You'll report to the Senior Project Manager for Generation and act as the single point of accountability for everything the MIP touches - technical, commercial and human.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • Project leadership - lead the MIP delivery team as the primary point of contact for all package matters, owning risk, budget, programme and resourcing within the project's overall controls framework.
  • Technical direction - oversee FEED and detailed design of the WTG and OTM foundations and inter-array cables, ensure execution-phase documentation meets standard, and resolve technical issues alongside the engineering team and other package leads.
  • Supply chain leadership - lead procurement and contracting for the MIP scope, negotiate and develop tier 1 supplier contracts, and manage contractors through execution to ensure full compliance.
  • Safety leadership - set the standard on site and in every meeting, embedding a 'if it's not safe, we don't do it' culture across all contractors and team members working the MIP scope.
  • Quality ownership - deliver the scope against the project's quality standards, KPIs and Quality Management Plan.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • A degree, or equivalent training and experience, in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Marine Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A track record as a Package Manager (or equivalent) in offshore wind or subsea projects - ideally having delivered offshore wind foundations and/or inter-array cable packages.
  • Hands-on knowledge of subsea surveys and engineering, cable manufacturing, marine installation, and HV testing and commissioning.
  • Strong commercial acumen across relevant contract frameworks, with proven experience leading tier 1 contract negotiations.
  • Solid grounding in HSEQ standards for UK offshore construction projects.
THE DETAILS
  • Contract, ASAP start, running for approx. 10 months initially, with the possibility of extension.
  • Up to £900 per day, Inside IR35, via Umbrella.
  • UK-based hybrid working, plus periodic travel into the project office in the Central Belt of Scotland (travel at your own cost).
  • Full UK working rights required.

If you can hold a marine package together end to end - design to handover, contract to quay - and you want that scale of ownership on a live offshore wind programme, let's have a conversation.
