About the role

This role reports to the Lead Asset Strategy & Business Planning Manager and supports the development of our asset management strategies and asset investment work bank planning.

Support the development and integration of asset management strategy and associated business planning across the Scotland Region. The role coordinates engineering and asset management input into Network Rail's corporate planning processes, ensuring alignment between long-term asset strategies, investment decisions, and operational delivery.

Working closely with Lead Asset Strategy & Business Planning Manager and colleagues in the asset management team, the role supports with the creation and delivery of the regional asset management plan with input from our discipline Regional Asset Managers (RAM), to help drive continuous improvement in asset performance, efficiency, and decision-making and supports the optimisation of maintenance and renewal investment strategies.

Salary:

Your experience and skills Here are some of the duties your role will include:

Provide expert advice input and support associated with the provision of services for our customers and suppliers.

Support professional leadership for a designated engineering discipline.

Provide expert advice, support and input to technical accident and incident investigations.

Support the setting of policy and standards, operational processes and systems. Manage the design and delivery of programmes for the development of technical capability required within Network Rail, including the competence framework and effective training materials.
