Property, Science and Industry is a multidisciplinary group working on a range of building projects across healthcare, science & industry, commercial, education and arts & culture sectors. The group has a digital buildings cluster focusing on smart buildings and advisory services for smart and data enablement for buildings, with a growing number of software development and Internet of Things (IoT) projects and products.

The team works closely with other teams across Arup and is the hub for multidisciplinary working, bringing together different specialists and advisory services to suit client and project needs. Our current projects include design smart buildings and integration for a new HQ for a bank, providing design and consulting across a large property portfolio, providing embedded software expertise to large technology firms, smart enabling design on our projects and a number of IoT product design commissions.

Strategy development, Requirements definitions, Smart Building IoT and Sensor design, Coordination of own and with external design consultants & Client assurance by monitoring implementation.

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

An undergraduate / Bachelor's level (or equivalent) in Engineering with a focus on Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics or a Dual software engineering and Engineering (Civil). A Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical or Buildings Services Engineering, alternatively Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics or Applied Mathematics at 2.1 or above with areas of study/research in the field of IoT, Building Systems Controls, Connected Environments, Smart Buildings, Robotics, Data Science, Building simulation Analytics and/or A.I

in the field of Built Environment.

To be considered for a graduate opportunity, your application must include a copy of your academic transcript and meet the following criteria:

Full working rights in the country of application

No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role

Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
