Location:
Glasgow (Hybrid working)
Contract - Permanent, full time position
Salary range: up to £27,500 per annum plus benefits
Our finance team is looking for a Finance Assistant to join them in Glasgow. If you’re organised, proactive, and enjoy working with both numbers and people, this could be the role for you!
What you will be doing:
Working within our fantastic finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable function and other finance tasks across the group. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing the Accounts Payable function, including coding, batching, processing invoices, banking, supplier queries, reconciliations, and monthly aged creditor reports
- Generating weekly payment runs for multiple trading companies and maintaining invoice status on Share Point
- Assisting with employee expenses (experience with Payhawk or similar systems is a plus) and administering the company credit card programme
- Performing monthly journals, accruals, prepayment entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining cash books, preparing bank reconciliations, and processing ad hoc payments
- Supporting other finance areas as required, improving processes, controls, and reporting, while delivering work accurately and to deadlines
Do you have what it takes?
We’re looking for someone with experience in a similar role who is comfortable multitasking and working collaboratively across finance and non-finance teams. You will ideally have:
- Intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and experience with high-volume data manipulation
- Experience using a finance system (Net Suite EPM experience advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with people at all levels
- A proactive approach and willingness to support the team
