Thisisahands-on,high-impactinterimassignment,offeringsignificantexposuretothe
Board,electedmembersandseniorlocalauthoritystakeholders.
- Leadanddelivertheorganisation’sfinancialstrategy,alignedtoitsmedium-andlong-termbusinessplans
- Actasatrustedfinancialadvisortothe Chief Executive ,Boardand Executive Team
- Maintainstrongfinancialgovernance,internalcontrolsandriskmanagement,ensuringfullstatutoryandregulatorycompliance
- Overseerevenueandcapitalbudgets,financial planning,forecastingandperformancereporting
- Leadstatutoryaccountspreparationandmanageexternalaudit
- Ownandmanagethefinancialrelationshipwiththepartnerlocalauthority,includingserviceagreementreview
- Lead,motivateanddevelopthefinanceteam,embeddingcontinuousimprovementandeffectivewaysofworking
- Supportmajorinvestmentdecisions,businesscasesandchangeinitiatives

You will bring:- Arecognisedprofessionalaccountingqualification(,ACCA,CIMA,or equivalent)
- Significantsenior-levelexperienceinfinancialleadershiproles
- Astrongtrackrecordinfinancialstrategy,statutoryreporting,auditandgovernance
- Experiencewithinthepublicsector,charitysectororsimilarlyregulatedenvironmentsisdesirable
- Confidenceworkingat Boardlevelandadvisingnon-executive stakeholders
