Temporary Finance Assistant | Housing Association | 3-month Initial Contract | Glasgow

If you’re a Finance Assistant / Finance Officer with housing or public sector experience and you’re available for a short-term contract starting early January 2026, this could be a good fit.

I’m supporting a Glasgow based Housing Association with a 3-month temporary Finance Assistant position (potential to be extended) requirement within their Finance & Corporate Services team.

This is hands‑on cover focused on keeping core finance processes running smoothly.

You’ll be involved in:

• Purchase ledger and supplier payments
• Monthly accruals and prepayments
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting management accounts and budgets
• Control and suspense accounts, including insurance
• Debtor control and rechargeable repairs

This suits someone who:

• Has experience as a Finance Assistant / Accounts Payable / Finance Officer
• Has worked in housing, charity, local authority, or another regulated environment
• Is comfortable stepping in quickly and delivering from day one
