The Treasury Assistant will be responsible for performing treasury function duties, including a full suite of banking duties, for our internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities Banking- Effective completion of duties, including but not limited to:
- (i) Provide of up-to-date account / balance information;
- (ii) Ensure appropriate approvals are received for payments;
- (iii) Set up required payments; and
- (iv) Ensure payments are authorised through the various payment systems.
- Posting of all cashbook transactions.
- Correspond with third parties where required.
- Assist with resolution of data queries received from banking providers.
- Ensure banking queries are resolved in a timely manner with the OpCo's and stakeholders.
- Assist with completion of monthly reconciliations of bank accounts/statements.
- Process journals as required.
- Process credit card expense transactions on a periodic basis.
- Assist with the financial period end closing and reporting where required.
- Ad-hoc tasks handed down by Treasury & AR Supervisor / Manager.
- Assist with accurate and timely completion of all Treasury/Banking duties.
- Assist with the integration of new Stakeholders/Opcos, as Solvd grows and offers its functions to new customers.
- Input payments accurately.
- Assist with period end bank statement reconciliations.
- Assist with year-end close in relation to bank and cashbook transactions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of GDPR regulations.
- UK Accounting Framework basics.
- Assist the Treasury and AR Supervisor / Manager in improving control processes both in Solvd and within the remote entity locations.
- With guidance from the Treasury & AR Supervisor / Manager, keep documentation up to date for all financial and administrative processes for business continuity purposes.
- Continually reviewing the processes in place to aid maximum efficiency of the finance function.
- Numerically & IT literate intermediate MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel (vlookup, sumif, pivot tables).
- Adaptable.
- Personable.
- Excellent communicator at all levels both written and verbal.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Treasury / banking knowledge.
- Previous experience of working in a Finance Department.
- Shows flexibility in when to take annual leave and is willing to work some irregular hours when necessary.
- Able to cope with peak workloads and deadlines.
- Open Accounts/EBis experience would be advantageous.
