The roleWe have an excellent opportunity for a Treasury Analyst on a fixed term basis, a challenging and rewarding role which offers you the chance to gain hands‑on financial, operational, and analytical experience in a fast‑paced evolving environment. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, develop, and make a real impact. Whether you're early in your finance journey or looking to broaden your experience, you'll gain exposure to the financial heartbeat of a FTSE‑listed company.
Working closely with teams across SSE, youll gain valuable insights into our financial operations and make a meaningful impact within a key function of the organisation.
Manage the companys cash and bank balances ensuring accurate and timely cash reporting for the business to ensure they are fully funded and can meet all payment obligations.
Provide support for foreign exchange, liquidity and funding activities ensuring accurate and timely settlement.
Manage the daily payment requirements from across the business to ensure critical payments are made in a timely manner.
Build and maintain good working relationships internally and externally. Supporting the Treasury Leadership team who are invested in your growth.
Take ownership of issues, ensuring they are identified and thoroughly resolved, while proactively seeking to implement changes that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
You haveExperience of working in a finance or financial markets environment, ideally with knowledge of Treasury or cash management.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
A natural ability to work with multiple stakeholders, using strong communication skills to work collaboratively adapting to support diverse business needs.
Proactive problem‑solving skills, with a solution‑oriented approach and the ability to anticipate potential issues before they arise and take proactive steps to mitigate them.
Curiosity and desire to learn, understand and investigate.
