We are currently recruiting for an Investment Manager to join our Property Team in Glasgow. This is an office-based, full-time role, 34.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Maven Capital Partners (a subsidiary of Mattioli Woods) is a leading Venture Capital Trust (VCT), Private Equity and Property Fund Manager. The Maven Property Team specialises in providing equity capital for property projects across the UK in a variety of real estate sectors, including Purpose Built Student Accommodation, Build to Rent, hotels, residential, industrial and investment property in addition to also providing secured loan funding.

We have raised more than £400 million of funding to date and have a current portfolio of 28 properties, with a GDV of more than £300 million. The

role & responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to support the property partners and property team in:
management of portfolio of real estate and real estate loan investments,
leading banking and/or debt finance transactions in connection with the portfolio; sourcing and transacting new real estate investment and lending opportunities and assisting to develop new sources of capital for real estate deals.

  • Lead responsibility for a portfolio of existing real estate and/or real estate lending investments.
  • Attend regular board and project meetings to monitor progress of the business/investment, and provide reports to the Investment Committee, recommending follow‑on funding or other actions where required.
  • Work with operators / JV partners / professional teams to develop a productive relationship and assist the business / project where possible.
  • Prepare investment committee papers, presentations and investment memoranda.
  • Undertake information gathering on behalf of and preparation of presentations to client funds / investors including half yearly investor reports.
  • Generally take all actions necessary in order to maximise investment value for investor clients including seeking exit opportunities in line or ahead of business plan for each investment.
  • Take a leading role in banking transactions within the wider Maven portfolio, not just on own portfolio and be prime contact for Maven lender relationships.

Portfolio Management:
