Derivative Confirmations Manager; Operations

Barclays is seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Derivative Confirmations Manager to lead a small, specialist team within our operations function. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end confirmations process across a range of derivative products, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance.

• Previous experience in derivative confirmations across asset classes.
• Prior managerial or leadership experience, ideally within a small team environment.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational risk controls.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

This role will be located at our Glasgow office.

This role is regulated by FCA and may require mandatory regulatory qualifications. It is deemed a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations.

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
