Financial Planning Accountant

Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a renowned Public sector organisation in Glasgow to recruit for a Financial Planning Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client are based Centrally in Glasgow with excellent transport links to the office and hybrid working arrangements. Our client are seeking a Financial Planning Accountant to support on a range of Capital projects across the business and require a Qualified accountant with sound Business Partnering and stakeholder management skills.

This opportunity offers a competitive package of £60,000 - £64,000 per annum with excellent benefits including employer pension contribution up to 10%, hybrid working 40 days annual leave, healthcare and company specific benefits.

The Financial Planning Accountant will sit within the Financial planning team and have a wider business facing reach with operational teams. You will be responsible for managing a series of projects, monitoring spend, partnering with the operations teams on advice and cost control and providing an end-end project appraisal process, working with the board to and presenting proposals. The Financial Planning accountant will take ownership of the management accounting and reporting cycle, pulling together the groups position and presenting consolidated results for the business unt.

The Financial Planning Accountant will offer advise and guidance, bridging the gap between operations and finance and will be a key stakeholder in business planning, budgeting and managing a series of capital projects.

This role would suit a confident and experienced accountant with strong technical skills in addition to exposure to capital projects and overseeing the end-end delivery of projects across the organisation. Experience of preparing business cases, project appraisal exposure is highly advantageous here with the ability to build a partnership with project teams. This role would suit a qualified accountant with a natural curiosity to be involved and provide first class business planning activities in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
