Purpose of the role

To support PBWM with day‑to‑day processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities
  • Support with day‑to‑day Private Bank and Wealth Management initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, and issue resolution with regards to accounts, products and services.
  • Support the management of the bank's client relations to clearly identify their needs and provide a service that meets expectations.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for change in Private Bank and Wealth Management processes.
  • Develop and implement Private Bank and Wealth Management procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on Private Bank and Wealth Management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in Private Bank and Wealth Management Services.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve Private Bank and Wealth Management efficiency and effectiveness.

Core Business Manager Role
  • Drive financial, operational, and strategic management of a global function.
  • Act as trusted partner to senior leadership ensuring business operates efficiently and aligned to strategy.
  • Combine financial oversight, strategic insight, and executive communication.
  • Perform monthly budgetary control: primary gatekeeper for senior stakeholders’ budget, reconciling to ensure department stays within annual targets.
  • Variance analysis: track "Actuals vs. Forecast," investigate and explain discrepancies.
  • Hiring validation: manage headcount by vetting every hiring request.
  • Management reporting & executive presentation: use PowerPoint to translate complex data into clear visual insights; write and review global team updates.
  • Digital innovation: utilize Microsoft Co‑pilot and other AI tools.
  • Stakeholder challenge: central link within Operations and COO, communicate with senior leaders.
  • Engagement strategy: lead culture agenda and engagement activities.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office: expert‑level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Co‑pilot.
  • Effective communication (written & verbal).
  • Analytical clarity.
  • Organisation and diary management.
  • Forward‑thinking problem solving.
  • Event coordination experience.
Location & Working Arrangements

Based in Glasgow, hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
