Position: Interim Analyst RTR Banking (12 months FTC)

Job Overview

The Interim Analyst will assume responsibility for delivering the day‑to‑day processes that ensure smooth running of the Banking/Treasury Accounting function within Hilton’s UK Centre of Excellence. Working with the Managers of the Banking/Treasury Accounting team to support the delivery of the function strategy and goals surrounding the processes involved in the delivery of accurate and timely reporting for c.250 hotels.

Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Manager, Banking, the post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the Treasury Accounting processes to agreed timetables and Service Level Agreements. The Analyst will ensure Hilton’s Centre of Excellence offers a seamless, efficient and customer focused experience which maximises output without compromising the quality of service. The ability to recognise how to maximise process efficiency and effectiveness is considered essential.

The Analyst will work with the team to support the delivery of change programmes, and will engage in empowerment, supporting Treasury Accounting strategies on a day‑to‑day basis. This requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to understand and interpret business metrics within the Banking arena and make recommendations. The post holder will support the review of Banking Accounting Service Level Agreements, assist with refinement and ongoing monitoring to ensure agreed service delivery metrics are met or exceeded.

Key to success will be communication and influence at various levels, participation in projects and ability to manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities Organising Activities
  • Carry out and co‑ordinate all required Banking related tasks in a timely and efficient manner toward achieving goals and KPIs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements where necessary, after discussion and agreement with management.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of end‑to‑end processes in all areas of Banking responsibility, supporting confident delivery of solutions and responses to questions and queries.
Controlling & Coordinating Activities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day activities ensuring the successful and timely delivery of all Hotel Accounting activities.
  • Provide input to delivery of relevant metrics to support team activities and drive business improvement.
  • Support the Manager in producing relevant and timely Management Information.
  • Provide guidance and support to the business on operating best practice.
  • Support evaluation of current processes and implement actions to streamline and maximise efficiency.
  • Ensure all monthly closing and reporting activities are carried out as per guidelines and deadlines.
  • Deliver balance sheet reconciliation processes, ensuring unreconciled items are cleared immediately and any ageing is appropriately explained.
Administrative Activities
  • Perform Banking processes, ensuring consistency and controls are adhered to.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of all bank accounts within the team’s remit, in accordance with defined processes.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciling items within prescribed time frames.
  • Review and suggest amendments to auto‑match rules.
  • Administer compliance duties and set‑up and maintenance of internal controls and SOX compliance, ensuring adherence.
  • Support internal and external audits for hotels and internal corporate departments by coordinating documentation collection, review of items collected (including from outside providers) and answering auditor requests.
  • Complete hotel transitions checklist.
  • Report results and explain findings to relevant parties.
  • Take on work within the parameters of Treasury Accounting policy and procedures updates communicated.
  • Complete tasks in compliance with required SOX controls, with peer reviews to test controls; highlight potential issues and recommendations for changes to controls.
  • Research and respond to information requests from internal departments and management.
Support Activities
  • Support other functions in the provision of data and reports as requested.
