Trainee Debt Recovery Finance Administrator

Location:

Glasgow

Summary of Role

Provide timely, accurate and responsive service to the Y&K team through performance of daily banking and payment activities assuring the sound and efficient financial running of the team.

Key Tasks
  • Process assigned client’s Sheriff Officer invoices through relevant case on accounts programme.
  • Process posting slip for court actions raised by Debt Recovery Team.
  • Review Case Management System – action cases that need to be fed to date, Court Action or LBA and email invoice to clients.
  • Ensure case has all time recordings processed, fed to date and available to close for archiving.
  • Process bulk client invoices via accounts programme and update Cash Management System – charge clients.
  • Enter incoming debtor payments into Cash Management System, update case and advise debt team of any relevant actions.
  • Process Bacs/Card payments from clients paying YK invoices.
  • Monitor Cashroom email inbox and allocate to relevant team member.
  • Remit funds recovered from debtors to clients after review of Case Management System.
  • Credit control to ensure accounts are settled in line with established procedures; provide copy invoices if required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience dealing with accounts payable, banking and reconciliations duties.
  • SOLAS qualification desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent communication skills – articulate, clear, concise, without jargon.
  • Team player and able to work autonomously on own initiative.
  • Personable and able to build and develop client relationships.
  • Confident with strong belief in own ability.
  • Committed to providing a good client experience and willing to put in extra time and effort when required.
