Trainee Debt Recovery Finance Administrator
Location:
Glasgow
Provide timely, accurate and responsive service to the Y&K team through performance of daily banking and payment activities assuring the sound and efficient financial running of the team.
Key Tasks- Process assigned client’s Sheriff Officer invoices through relevant case on accounts programme.
- Process posting slip for court actions raised by Debt Recovery Team.
- Review Case Management System – action cases that need to be fed to date, Court Action or LBA and email invoice to clients.
- Ensure case has all time recordings processed, fed to date and available to close for archiving.
- Process bulk client invoices via accounts programme and update Cash Management System – charge clients.
- Enter incoming debtor payments into Cash Management System, update case and advise debt team of any relevant actions.
- Process Bacs/Card payments from clients paying YK invoices.
- Monitor Cashroom email inbox and allocate to relevant team member.
- Remit funds recovered from debtors to clients after review of Case Management System.
- Credit control to ensure accounts are settled in line with established procedures; provide copy invoices if required.
- Experience dealing with accounts payable, banking and reconciliations duties.
- SOLAS qualification desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills – articulate, clear, concise, without jargon.
- Team player and able to work autonomously on own initiative.
- Personable and able to build and develop client relationships.
- Confident with strong belief in own ability.
- Committed to providing a good client experience and willing to put in extra time and effort when required.
