The successful candidate will be responsible for processing financial and pension-related transactions, maintaining accurate records, performing calculations, handling customer queries, and ensuring all work is completed in line with strict procedures and regulatory requirements.
Please note:
This is not a customer-facing sales role or a general office support position. Applicants must be able to demonstrate recent administrative experience within a financial, pensions, payroll, banking, insurance, or similar regulated environment.
- Process financial and pension-related transactions in line with agreed procedures, business rules, and scheme regulations.
- Produce, analyse, and verify pension and financial calculations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records and update information across internal systems and databases.
- Respond to customer queries via telephone, email, and written correspondence.
- Investigate and resolve routine queries, escalating complex issues where appropriate.
- Schedule and prioritise workloads to ensure service levels and deadlines are achieved.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to obtain and verify information.
- Prepare, collate, and check documentation relating to pension and financial administration activities.
- Produce correspondence, reports, invoices, and other administrative documentation as required.
- Support audit activities by maintaining accurate and compliant records.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and support implementation where appropriate.
- Provide additional administrative support to managers and the wider team as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with regulatory, compliance, and company standards.
Applicants must have:
- Recent administration experience within a financial services, pensions, payroll, banking, insurance, accounts, or other regulated financial environment.
- Proven experience processing high volumes of administrative work accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Experience working with databases, case management systems, or financial administration systems.
- The ability to interpret and follow detailed procedures and policies.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A professional approach to customer service and stakeholder interactions.
- The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Previous experience within pensions administration.
- Experience producing or checking complex financial calculations.
- Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working within a target-driven or service-level agreement (SLA) environment.
This is a specialist administration position. Applications will only be considered from candidates with recent and relevant financial administration experience. Candidates without experience in financial services, pensions, payroll, banking, insurance, accounts administration, or a similar regulated sector are unlikely to be suitable for this role.
