Location: Remote (Regular UK Travel Required)

Are you an experienced Training & Competence professional with a passion for developing Financial Planners and driving high standards of competency? We're looking for a Training & Competence Supervisor to support, coach and develop both Pre-CAS and CAS Financial Planners, ensuring high standards of competency, compliance and professional development across a growing national business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Act as first-line Supervisor for Financial Planners with varying levels of experience
  • Supervise Financial Planners in line with the requirements of our Training & Competence Scheme
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate Training & Competence records
  • Undertake observed meetings (live, recorded or via roleplay) to support Financial Planners development and assess competency
  • Support Radiant's induction training programme for both Pre-CAS and acquired Financial Planners, including the onboarding and sign-off process
  • Provide 1-to-1 coaching and training or group training to enhance Financial Planners knowledge and skills
  • Regularly review MI to identify training needs and identify any potential emerging risks
  • Collate/review Financial Planner data to identify development opportunities
  • Support with the implementation of Consumer Duty requirements.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in a similar (T&C) role gained within the Financial Services Industry, preferably in the Financial Adviser sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret MI, identify trends and recommend development actions.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and mentoring skills.
  • A good level of IT literacy and Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant FCA regulations in relation to Training & Competence and SMCR and knowledge of best practice of their application.
  • Ability to present to groups, within both a training and presenting environment.

You must maintain an understanding of the four pillars of Consumer Duty and how they relate practically to the execution of your role. Your attendance at relevant Consumer Duty training is mandated to ensure that your knowledge and experience remain up to date. The Consumer Duty pillars are:

  • Price and Value – Products and services should be sold at a price that reflects their value. There should be no excessively high fees.
  • Products and Services – The firm’s products and services should be fit for purpose. The terms match the target consumer needs and products and services work as expected.
  • Consumer Support – Customer service should be responsive and helpful. It should be as easy to complain about or switch and cancel products or services as it was to buy them.
