Tempest Jones is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected financial planning business based in Glasgow city centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished people manager to join a growing and well-established firm.

You will oversee a small team of Financial Planning Administrators and Paraplanners, taking responsibility for their day-to-day management, development and performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day activities and workflow of a small team of Financial Planning Administrators and Paraplanners.
- Providing strong, approachable and supportive leadership.
- Conducting regular one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews.
- Coaching, mentoring and motivating team members to encourage professional development and high performance.
- Supporting the onboarding and training of new employees.
- Monitoring workloads and ensuring service standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.
- Managing holiday requests and ensuring appropriate team coverage.
- Acting as a key point of contact for escalations and operational queries.
- Supporting process improvements and helping to drive efficiency and consistency across the team.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment in which people feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
- Proven experience leading and developing a team.
- Experience in Financial Planning Administration and ideally paraplanning.
- Experience with in financial planning, wealth management or a regulated financial services is essential.
- Knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with people at all levels.
- Experience conducting one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews.
- A supportive and encouraging management style, combined with the confidence to manage performance where necessary.
- A highly organised approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
