Financial Planning Support Team Manager

You will oversee a small team of Financial Planning Administrators and Paraplanners, taking responsibility for their day-to-day management, development and performance.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day activities and workflow of a small team of Financial Planning Administrators and Paraplanners.
• Providing strong, approachable and supportive leadership.
• Conducting regular one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews.
• Coaching, mentoring and motivating team members to encourage professional development and high performance.
• Supporting the onboarding and training of new employees.
• Monitoring workloads and ensuring service standards and deadlines are consistently achieved.
• Managing holiday requests and ensuring appropriate team coverage.
• Acting as a key point of contact for escalations and operational queries.
• Supporting process improvements and helping to drive efficiency and consistency across the team.
• Creating a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment in which people feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Experience in Financial Planning Administration and ideally paraplanning.
• Experience with in financial planning, wealth management or a regulated financial services is essential.
• Knowledge of pensions, investments and financial planning processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with people at all levels.
• Experience conducting one-to-ones, appraisals and performance reviews.
• A supportive and encouraging management style, combined with the confidence to manage performance where necessary.
• A highly organised approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
