Your new company

Money Matters is a well-established charity that has been supporting individuals and families across Glasgow for over 36 years. Committed to tackling poverty and improving financial wellbeing, the organisation provides high-quality advice and practical support to help people maximise income, reduce financial hardship and build more secure futures. With a strong focus on employee wellbeing, Money Matters offers a unique four-day working week, generous annual leave and a supportive, values-driven culture.

Your new role

As an Energy & Financial Wellbeing Adviser, you will provide holistic advice and support to clients experiencing financial difficulties. You'll assist with energy advice, welfare benefits, income maximisation, debt management and financial wellbeing, helping individuals access vital support and improve their financial resilience. Working with a varied caseload, you will collaborate with partner organisations, utility providers and referral agencies to deliver positive outcomes for clients across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will have experience within welfare rights, money advice, debt advice or a related advisory setting. You will possess a strong understanding of benefits legislation, including Universal Credit, alongside excellent communication and case management skills. A person-centred approach, the ability to manage a varied workload and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals are essential. A full UK driving licence and access to transport is also required.

What you'll get in return

In return, you'll receive a salary of up to 30,900 alongside an excellent benefits package, including a four-day working week, up to eight weeks annual leave (increasing with service), a contributory pension scheme, Employee Assistance Programme and ongoing professional development opportunities. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference within local communities while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team.
