Financial Reporting, Financial Analyst
Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a high-growth, technology-led business in the search for a Finance Business Partner. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a fast-paced and evolving organisation, playing a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and driving business performance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide meaningful financial insight through reporting, forecasting, and analysis, while helping to improve processes and enhance the quality of management information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance recurring revenue reporting, providing insight into business growth, customer retention, and revenue performance
- Support month-end close activities, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting requirements
- Produce and maintain sales performance reporting and forecasting models to improve commercial visibility
- Partner with operational leaders to support budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensuring plans align with strategic objectives
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis, identifying key drivers impacting revenue, profitability, and cash flow
- Build strong relationships across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Operational teams, providing financial challenge and support where required
- Own and develop KPI reporting, delivering insights around customer retention, profitability, and business performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement within finance processes, reporting, and systems, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
About You:
The client is open to considering a broad range of backgrounds and is more focused on attitude, commercial awareness, and potential than a specific profile.
You could be:
- A part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) currently working in industry
- A qualified-by-experience (QBE) accountant looking to take the next step in their career
- A newly qualified accountant coming from practice, particularly with experience in accounts preparation, although candidates from an audit background will also be considered
In addition, you'll have:
- Strong Excel skills and an ability to analyse and interpret financial data
- Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI, or a willingness to develop in this area
- A commercial mindset and an interest in understanding the drivers behind business performance
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business
- A proactive, curious, and solutions-focused approach
This role would suit someone looking to move into a broader commercial finance position where they can develop their business partnering skills and gain greater exposure to operational and strategic decision-making.

- Salary of £45,000 - £55,000
- 35-hour working week
