this post is open to employees of north lanarkshire council only.
located in motherwell, the successful candidate will assist with invoice and equivalent payment document processing and associated tasks including the daily upload and input of data onto an approved electronic payment processing system to facilitate payment in accordance with the council’s financial regulations.
this will include all tasks associated with payment feeders including the input, maintenance, and administration of supplier records.
the successful candidate will also assist the creditors team leader in the supervision of the data input assistants.
you will be educated to standard grade or equivalent level and you will have extensive experience of working and communicating in an office environment. You will have good literacy, numeracy and keyboard skills and a working knowledge of microsoft office applications. A positive attitude and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team are essential qualities.
it would be desirable for the successful candidate to have experience of the accounts payable process and experience of using the efinancials, financial management system.
a satisfactory level 1 check through disclosure scotland is required for this role. Application will be processed by the council for successful candidates and must be attained prior to commencing employment.
working pattern:
monday - thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm
friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm

* for all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
