Our client is a B2B SME based in Staffordshire with a group turnover of £40m.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and leading a small finance team, this hands-on Finance Director role will take responsibility for the organisation's financial management, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and high-quality financial insight to support strategic decision-making. A key priority during the first 12 months will be to develop and strengthen the finance function, improving processes, systems and management information to support continued growth.

Looking ahead, the business plans to secure additional investment to fund its next phase of expansion, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in engaging with potential investors and supporting fundraising activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified and experienced Finance Director, living in or close to Staffordshire, as this role will need someone on site 4 days per week. You will be an outgoing and personable individual who is ideally available on no more than 4 weeks notice.

You will inherit an established finance team that is keen for strong leadership and clear direction, giving you a genuine opportunity to shape the function and deliver meaningful change.
