Position: Interim Finance Officer (Finance Business Partnering)

Duration: 6-9 months

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 p.a.

Start: 1-4 weeks’ notice

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a large and well-established organisation in Glasgow with the appointment of a Finance Officer on a 6-9-month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
• Assist with annual business planning and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain financial ledgers, including journal processing and income/expenditure allocations
• Undertake balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance information to budget holders
• Support operational management teams by providing financial insight and guidance
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial management
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting

The Ideal Candidate:

• Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant
• Good Excel skills and experience using financial ledger systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines
